What's up everyone? It has been about a month since I last wrote a post on the site. Believe it or not, since the site started back in May, I have over 30 blog posts published.
I promised about 1 or 2 posts a week when I first started, but I ended up doing way more posts than I expected in the beginning. Because of this, I decided I wanted to take a little break so that you guys could catch up on my older posts. It is important to me that everyone gets a chance to access the information without feeling overwhelmed with all of the posts available in such a short amount of time. But anyway, I am back now and I will be posting at least once or twice a week going forward!
Today I wanted to ease back into it with a post that many people may need on a Sunday night or a Monday morning to keep them going.Â
Finding motivation to keep moving forward is very important. I like to find my motivation in reading and quotes. On my Instagram account, I post at least 1-2 motivational quotes per week. They keep me focused on my journey and remind me of what is important.
Here are 10 of my favorite motivational quotes that I have posted on my Instagram account. Hopefully you guys read them and find some fire on a Sunday night/Monday morning to invigorate you for the week:Â
"If you're tired of starting over, then stop giving up."Â
"Fitness is not about being better than someone else... it's about being better than you used to be."
"Do something today that your future self will thank you for."
"It never gets easier, you just get stronger."Â
"Look in the mirror, that is your competition."
"Strive for progress, not perfection."
"Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it."Â
"Get fit for life, not just for the summer."
"If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you."
"I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday."
These quotes all have a few themes in common. They all preach exactly what I teach all of my clients when they sign up to train with me.Â
The first theme is that you are on this journey for yourself. Your health and fitness journey should begin and continue for you and not for anyone else. Your goals should be focused on self-improvement and your only competition is your past self. There is no use comparing yourself to anyone else when it comes to your own health and fitness endeavors. No two people have the same genetics, stressors, life circumstances, etc.. These things can change everything about how you look and feel. So do your best to focus on yourself and make self-improvement your main goal.Â
The next theme is about progress. Progress is progress, whether it is the smallest baby step or the biggest leap. You should always aim to make some sort of progress everyday. You do not need to be perfect, not even close actually, just aim to be better than you were yesterday. If you keep that as your goal, you will do just fine.
Lastly, as you are attempting to be better than you were yesterday, you want to find that you are challenging yourself. These two goals should go hand in hand. Your body and your mind will not change/adapt/grow unless you force them to. You can't get complacent with where you are currently, you need to push yourself a little more at times to make sure you keep progressing.
Well that's it for today! A quick and easy post to get us ready for the week. I have been keeping up with my stats and in the last two weeks noticed a HUGE increase in reads per post (over 400 per day!). I just wanted to take the time and say thank you to everyone who reads and enjoys the blog. I do this for you guys and if I can help one person then it is all worth it.Â
I will be back later in the week with another blog post! Have a great week!Â

Just got back from a wild month of travel. This is just what I needed to get me in the gym today! I did walk a ton in the UK and don’t want to lapse…
Nice post about fitness motivation. It’s hard at times to keep yourself motivated.
Life sometimes gets the best of me. But I’m definitely tired of starting over.
Such good advise especially as this is a struggle for me. I am going to start by writing these on sticky notes and having them hang on my mirror!
