Happy 4th of July everyone! This week has been a hot one. Summer is finally here in full force! Today I want to give you guys a preview of my new Ebook that is being offered for a limited time. "25 Tips to Strip off Body Fat for the Summer" is my newest Ebook, explaining how you can lose weight and look great for the summer while improving your health.
For today's preview, I want to offer something similar to my previous fat loss post (you can read that post here). Here are 3 tips you can implement quickly and easily to lose some body fat and improve your health:
Stay Away From Crash Diets and Fad Diets
Although fad and crash diets promise quick fat loss (and may sometimes actually deliver), as soon as you return to your regular diet or introduce any regular food back into your diet you will gain the weight back and most times you will weigh more and look worse than when you started. These crash diets ruin metabolism and do not provide the nutrients needed to live a healthy life. "25 Tips to Strip off Body Fat for the Summer" explains how to avoid crash/fad diets and eat healthy in order to improve your health and body composition.
If you are looking to lose some weight, walking is one of the best low-impact, low stress, muscle sparing workouts you can do. Everyone should set a step goal for the day and try and beat it every day. A good goal to start at is 10,000 steps. Long periods of extended sitting or lying will ruin your metabolism. It does not take much, just try and get up out of your seat and move around every 30-60 minutes. It may help to set an alarm, so you remember to get up and walk around a little. Your Secret Fat Loss Weapon- Sleep!
Many fitness professionals are beginning to agree that sleep is one of the most important, if not the most important part of a proper fat-loss program. If you aren’t sleeping enough, a clean diet and good exercise program will not be as efficient in helping you reach your goals. Look to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. 9 or 10 hours would be best, if possible. Make sure you try to get to bed before 10:30 pm. A few hours before bed, do your best to reduce usage of cellphone, laptop, tablets, television, and any other electronics that emit blue light. I will have many blog posts and articles about sleep in the future. It is one of the most important aspects for mental health, fat loss, body composition and muscle building!
When aiming for fat loss, your health should be a priority. It is not worth compromising your health in order to "look better". I believe that health is important above all else and when you are healthy, your body composition will follow.
